As part of the LUDLOW Fringe Festival, People 4 Ludlow is hosting its second Great Get Together on Saturday 30th June in Castle Square, starting at 12 noon with the simple invite of ‘bring your own food and a little extra to share’.
Kim Holroyd of People 4 Ludlow explained “Following the success of last year’s event the Great Get Together is becoming a regular feature of the fabulous LUDLOW Fringe event and we feel that it’s really important that the community continues to express its solidarity against intolerance and division. All we are asking people to do is to bring along enough food to share so that others, perhaps unaware of the event, and visitors to Ludlow, can spontaneously join in and share in the strong community bonds in Ludlow.
All facilities are provided, including soft drinks, and if the weather is bad we will celebrate in the Women’s Centre”. Frances Lloyd, of the Women’s Centre, added “We want the town to come together and not be separated by class, political views or wealth and we are looking forward to a great day with crafts and entertainment provided for all the family to enjoy”.
We do, however, need assistance on the day – community action is not a spectator sport and we ask that if anyone feels that they can help a little to contact People4Ludlow by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org”.
